Black leaders are facing increasing threats due to recent Supreme Court rulings gutting voting rights and affirmative action, as well as the backlash against racial equity and DEI. The combination of this political climate and shifting philanthropic priorities are leaving many Black-led organizations struggling to sustain organizational budgets in the face of steep funding cliffs.
This webinar will bring together Black organizational and philanthropic leaders to highlight what Black leaders and funders are doing to persevere despite these challenges and offer recommendations on what the broader nonprofit and philanthropic sectors must do differently to support Black leaders and combat these growing challenges.
This timely session will include:
- recent research on Black leaders and Black-led organizations
- analysis of backlash trends and their implications for leaders, organizations, and the sector
- effective responses to the backlash by nonprofits and philanthropy
- calls to action to support Black leaders and Black-led organizations
