Your annual budget is a reflection of your organization's values. Although many organizations are committed to centering equity in their work, budget decision-making is often still in the hands of just a few people. Attempts to make the budgeting process more transparent, accessible, and equitable can quickly run into challenges because the tools are not designed for that purpose. Complicated spreadsheets are often unintelligible to non-finance staff and prone to mistakes.

But it doesn’t have to be that way. NPQ is pleased to welcome back Ananda Valenzuela, consultant and interim executive director, who will be joined by Alicia Radford, CPA. They will present an in-depth session on building a collaborative budgeting process using a free budgeting tool developed by RVC Seattle.
