Nancy Withbro, Chief of Staff, National Women’s Law Center and Co-Chair ProInspire Board of Directors

 

Nancy Withbroe, Chief of Staff, serves on the leadership team and leads the Office of the President & CEO, guiding efforts to build and enhance the President & CEO’s external positioning. Nancy staffs the Boards and leads strategic planning, learning, measurement and evaluation efforts for the organization. Prior to taking on a reimagined Chief of Staff role in early 2023, Nancy also served as NWLC’s COO through a five-year period of rapid growth, leading labor relations including negotiating NWLC’s first collective bargaining agreement, and coaching the senior team to ensure staff were aligned on strategic plan and organizational effectiveness goals, with equity centered.

 

With decades of experience successfully guiding organizations through periods of growth and transformation, Nancy is a seasoned strategist, organizational effectiveness expert, and fundraiser who centers relationships throughout her work. She is the founder and convener of an informal network of social justice movement leaders who hold a broad set of responsibilities at the intersection of organizational culture, operations, governance, change management, and strategy. She joined ProInspire’s Board in 2015 and currently serves as Board Co-Chair. Nancy has a master’s degree in educational leadership from American University and a bachelor’s degree from Carleton College.
