Chief Executive Officer, Outward Bound

In her role as Chief Executive Officer, Ginger provides strategic leadership and vision for the OBUSA team and the network of Outward Bound Schools across the U.S. Prior to joining OBUSA, Ginger served as Executive Director of the Chesapeake Bay Outward Bound School (CBOBS) for over 12 years. Ginger’s focus on students and their educational experience, her passion for building greater community connection, equity, and access, and her strong strategic leadership skills, guided Chesapeake Bay Outward Bound School in becoming the region’s leader in experiential education.

Throughout her more than 20 years of nonprofit leadership experience Ginger has excelled at building community through outdoor adventure. The Police Youth Challenge, a nationally recognized peace-building initiative, is just one example. She has worked tirelessly to expand community access to the region’s most spectacular outdoor spaces. Her expertise in aligning communities and philanthropy as well as leading public-private partnerships resulted in transformative funding for social justice programs, capital improvements, and public-school student experiences throughout the region. Ginger’s most recent efforts launched a new Outward Bound office and program in Washington, DC.
