Emily Fascilla
Emily Fascilla is the Director of Client Fundraising Strategy at asset-fundraising platform, The Giving Block. In her role, she supports thousands of nonprofit organizations across the globe by providing strategies and resources for online giving including DAF, stock, crypto, and peer to peer fundraising. As a frontline fundraiser for the past decade, Emily found her passion for nonprofit development and social justice through her upbringing as the daughter of an Executive Director, where she witnessed firsthand the importance of nonprofit services and the dedication it takes to fund those services. Following college, she joined her first nonprofit professionally at the Women’s and Children’s Alliance. Here, she started to explore equity in nonprofits, utilizing empowering client-first language, and boldly implementing community centric fundraising. Since that time, she has continued her work in anti-racism within the nonprofit sector through her values of transparent leadership, bold communications, and intentional diversity. Her technical expertise in major gifts fundraising, capital campaigns, grant writing, event planning, corporate partnerships, and more has been present in her various roles at organizations including Safe Horizon, Pencils of Promise, and Getting Out and Staying Out. Her dedication to creating awareness and impact for the organizations she has served has raised millions of dollars in her time as a fundraiser. Emily believes a world of compassion, equity, belonging, and safety for every single individual is possible - if only we are willing to move boldly forward together.
